Managing users

Ease Live allows you invite people to both to individual projects and the whole account. They are managed via the "People" link in sidebar on the account and project pages.

Scope

There are two scopes of access: Account and Project. A user assigned a role for the entire Account maintains that role for all projects within the account.
If you are unsure of whether a person should have access to all future projects or just the one, it would be advisable to invite the user to the specific project to begin with.

Roles

There are three different roles a user can be assigned to. They determine what the user sees, what they can add/remove, which settings they can change, and which tools they have access to. They are as follows:

Administrator

  • Can manage all projects, programs and users
  • Can use Studio, Cockpit and Play

Producer

  • Can manage projects they created or are invited to
  • Can use Studio, Cockpit and Play

Read-only

  • Can read projects they are invited to
  • Can use Play

Invites & passwords

Invites are sent directly to the recipients' e-mail addresses, as are password reset links. Once you are invited, you can also log in with Google.

For authentication we use Auth0, one of the most widely used and trusted authentication platforms out there. So if you see their name or logo in any Ease Live ID related e-mails or URLs, that is normal and expected.
